Use the original publisher source
A copied logo, app name or screenshot cannot prove ownership. Confirm the publisher domain, developer identity and package name before downloading.
Keep security controls enabled
Do not disable Play Protect, antivirus or browser warnings to force an installation. Review requested permissions and reject access unrelated to the app's purpose.
Treat hashes carefully
A checksum can confirm that two files are identical, but it cannot prove that either file is safe. It must be combined with source and signing checks.
Protect personal information
Never share passwords, one-time codes, payment PINs or identity documents with an unverified messaging account.
